Насколько комфортно крымское виноделие ощущает себя на рынке по сравнению, например, с кубанскими коллегами?
Сравнивать два разных, хоть и южных региона, не очень правильно — и в Крыму, и в Краснодарском крае есть немало достойных производителей. Крымские терруары уникальны, а потому наше виноделие чувствует себя более чем комфортно, и последние лет пять развивается хорошими темпами: на рынок выходят новые интересные игроки, старые получают второе дыхание, возрождаются заброшенные виноградники, исследуется почва, выявляются преимущества и потенциал автохтонных (то есть местных, не европейских) сортов винограда. Крым имеет все предпосылки для производства прекрасных вин, достойных высоких оценок на мировом уровне.
Ваши слова подтверждаются и собственным примером. Всего за два года вина Alma Valley собрали все мыслимые и немыслимые профессиональные награды. С чем связан такой оглушительный успех?

Нашу коллекцию преимущественно составляют сухие вина из европейских сортов винограда, чаще всего именно на них базируется оценка экспертов: через вино можно выявить преимущества терруара, мастерство винодела и, как следствие, определить качество вина и его потенциал. Все наши вина объединяет высокое качество виноматериалов, профессионализм агрономов и виноделов, современная технология производства. Награды — показатель высокого уровня перечисленных факторов.

Важно поддерживать контакт со своим потребителем, повышать лояльность к бренду по всей стране. В этом помогает проведение семинаров, ужинов в коллаборации с ресторанами, вечеринок с нашими винами — всё, что может привлечь людей, заинтересовать их, обратить внимание на наш продукт и сподвигнуть к вступлению в диалог. Эти мероприятия снимают барьеры между производителем и потребителем, нас с радостью слушают и узнают.

Отчасти да, но мы не ставили цель совсем отойти от вин с остаточным сахаром (сейчас, например, мы — единственное хозяйство в России, которое производит сладкое вино IceWine по традиционной технологии, и это как раз немецкая традиция), скорее, важно было изначально правильно выбрать основные направления развития, открыть преимущества нашего терруара. Томас с этой задачей отлично справляется: у него большой опыт работы как на европейских винодельнях, так и, например, в Австралии, где другие климатические особенности. Этот опыт позволяет Томасу работать у нас, не только полагаясь на особенности крымской земли, но и в нужный момент внося свои коррективы на стадии производства.
Как вы оцениваете присутствие бренда Alma Valley в Сочи? Какие планы по развитию на рынке курорта? Планируете ли какие-либо винные дегустации в городе?
Сейчас мы прорабатываем новую стратегию продвижения на следующий год. Рынок Сочи для нас важен, так как это один из самых популярных российских курортов, и нам хочется, чтобы вина Alma Valley сопутствовали отдыху гостей города. Кроме того, весной 2018 года мы планируем запустить собственный проект — открыть винный бар в терминале аэропорта Сочи. Основу ассортимента составят вина Alma Valley и других крымских производителей. В меню бара будут присутствовать различные холодные и, возможно, горячие закуски к вину. Уверены, что в ближайшее время наши вина расширят круг своих ценителей в Сочи.
