SCAPP, как и все горожане, давно уже ужился с постоянными спусками и подъемами, поэтому для нас не составило труда рассказать о самых высоких горах Сочи.
Гора Батарейка
146 метров
Прозванная в честь артиллерийской батареи, когда-то здесь стоящей, гора Батарейка устремляется вверх на 146 метров. Возвышенность, покрытая лесами и кустарниками, со временем превратилась в центр города с домиками, дачами, телевизионной вышкой и Видовой башней. Кстати, последняя сейчас закрыта и обнесена забором, правда некоторые умельцы все равно умудряются забраться на 21-метровую смотровую площадку Сочи.
Лысая гора
≈ 170 метров
Гора, которая в последнее время ассоциируется с куплей-продажей недвижимости, может похвастаться Дендрарием на своем хребте и любопытной историей названия. Дело в том, что данная вершина первая пострадала в неравной борьбе с индустриализацией: для строительства знаменитых Верещагинских дач здесь вырубили лес.
Гора Бытха
301 метр
Располагается между речками Мацеста и Бзугу. Названа в честь богини Бытхи, почитаемой убыхами — коренным народом, населявшим эту территории до середины XIX века. В начале 70-х Бытха начинается активно застраиваться и заселяться. В итоге — сейчас это один из самых спокойных спальных районов города. Кстати, в январе этого года здесь нашли остатки древнего храма времен Византийской эпохи.
Гора Мосья
502 метра
Самая непопулярная вершина нашего обзора. Гора-сосед вершины Пикет находится ближе к Мамайке и еще ближе к селу Васильевка. С нее доступны отличные панорамные виды на город, горы и реку Сочи.
Гора Пикет
626 метров
Тоже не самая известная гора Сочи. Склоны горы спускаются к реке Сочи и Змейковским водопадам. С вершины открывается захватывающий панорамный вид на горы Чура, Амуко, Чугуш, Фишт и Большой Ахун, про которые мы расскажем в следующем материале.
